RK Preferred designs and installs low-voltage LED landscape lighting in Indian Trail, using Kichler, Brilliance and Sterling Lighting fixtures. We’re based on Waxhaw Indian Trail Road, so many of these jobs are minutes from our yard.
Driveways, walks and entries in Indian Trail
One of our Indian Trail projects lights a driveway at night. Path lights along the drive and walk and step lights on the stairs make the way to the door safe after dark, and uplights on the house front keep the curb appeal working at night.
Lighting a new patio
Many Indian Trail projects start with a paver patio that replaces a builder slab. Planning the lighting with the patio means wire runs go in before the patio is finished, and step lights can be set into seat walls and steps.
Zones and timers
Fixtures are wired into zones, so the patio, the front walk and the trees can run on different schedules. A timer brings them on at dusk and off at a set hour. LED fixtures run cool and draw little power.
Questions from Indian Trail homeowners
How are the lights controlled?
In zones on a timer, so they come on at dusk.
Can you add lighting to a yard you didn’t build?
Ask at the site visit. Lighting is usually planned with a design project.
Where are you based?
On Waxhaw Indian Trail Road in Indian Trail, where Rob started RK in 2014.
